U.S. Senator Ed Markey Praises P.A.A.R.I., Calls for Immediate Action on Illicit Fentanyl

On May 12, U.S. Sen. Ed Markey, in a speech to the U.S. Senate, praised the Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative — calling it a national model and thanking founders, Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and businessman John Rosenthal, for their innovative idea.

Sen. Markey went on to discuss the dangers of the powerful drug Fentanyl and the increase in overdose deaths that have occurred in New England.
