Anaheim Lighthouse Partners with P.A.A.R.I. to Offer Recovery Services to Participants
NEWTON and ANAHEIM, Calif. — Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and John Rosenthal, co-founders of The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (P.A.A.R.I.), are pleased to announce that Anaheim Lighthouse Treatment Center has joined the team of recovery centers assisting addicts.
“Anaheim Lighthouse will be able to provide valuable treatment resources on the West Coast, where we have been actively building our network of treatment centers and law enforcement agencies,” Chief Campanello said. “This epidemic is a national issue, and every partner we add to our network ensures that we can continue to help even more participants who struggle with addiction and ensure that no one is turned away.”
Over the summer, Chief Campanello and businessman John Rosenthal launched P.A.A.R.I. — a nonprofit organization created in response to Gloucester Police Department’s ANGEL Initiative. Rather than arrest their way out of the problem of drug addiction, partnering police departments place those who come to them for help into treatment programs. As partnerships with treatment centers continue to grow, so does P.A.A.R.I.’s ability to support police departments who want to assist their communities in saving lives.
“All of us at Anaheim Lighthouse are honored to partner with P.A.A.R.I. on this exciting initiative to help change the lives of those struggling with addiction,” Anaheim Lighthouse COO Peter Davidson said. “We pride ourselves on our ability to help people suffering from the disease of addiction and their families achieve recovery and live healthy lives, free from the bondage of drugs and alcohol as well as other destructive tendencies. We are fortunate to have such a comfortable, safe, and conveniently located campus and believe that any person can achieve recovery with enough willingness, honesty, and open mindedness.”
Anaheim Lighthouse Treatment Center is a 126 bed facility with a full array of programs, including detox, inpatient residential, intensive outpatient care, and a strong family support program. Through abstinence based treatment programs, Anaheim Lighthouse provides individual and group counseling, drug and alcohol education, and an introduction to the 12-step program. Clients are encouraged to maintain a healthy diet and physical fitness through visits to a nationally recognized gym, yoga and meditation during their stay.
“We are eager to partner with another West Coast treatment center,” Rosenthal said. “As this program continues to grow, so does our need for treatment centers to provide our participants with the necessary resources for recovery. We are thrilled to welcome Anaheim Lighthouse on board as a P.A.A.R.I. partner and look forward to a long and successful relationship as we continue to battle addiction and save lives.”
