April 12, 2023: Lived Experience Council

This year, PAARI is forming a Lived Experience Council. We want to create space for those who may have suffered the most from the opioid epidemic, but may not have access to decision making. It will be led by our board member Stephen Jesi, who lost his daughter to addiction in 2015. The Council will be built into PAARI’s leadership and decision making structure to help give a voice to those who are closest to the problem. The council will:

  • Meet monthly for networking and training
  • Be trained on naloxone and how to train others on naloxone.
  • Be part of the decision making process at PAARI by consulting and providing feedback on on-going projects

We believe that those that are closest to a problem sometimes have the best solutions. If you are interested in applying to join the council, apply HERE.
