Next Chapter Joins P.A.A.R.I. to Offer Addiction Recovery Services to Men

NEWTON and DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and John Rosenthal, co-founders of The Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative (P.A.A.R.I.), are pleased to announce that Next Chapter Addiction Treatment Center has joined the growing team of recovery centers assisting addicts.

“The outreach from treatment centers around the nation has been tremendous,” Chief Campanello said. “Every treatment center that partners with P.A.A.R.I. marks another opportunity for us to save a life from the crippling effects of addiction. We are thankful for the generosity of treatment centers like Next Chapter, and are eager to welcome them on board.”

Over the summer, Chief Campanello and businessman John Rosenthal launched P.A.A.R.I. — a nonprofit organization created in response to Gloucester Police Department’s ANGEL Initiative. Rather than arrest their way out of the problem of drug addiction, partnering police departments place those who come to them for help into treatment programs. As partnerships with treatment centers continue to grow, so does P.A.A.R.I.’s ability to support police departments who want to assist their communities in saving lives.

“We are honored to partner with such a unique program to improve and save the lives of so many who suffer from the disease of addiction. Most addiction treatment centers primarily see addiction as the problem and focus on the symptoms,” said Abe Antine, LCSW, Clinical Director of Next Chapter. “At Next Chapter, we focus on the underlying and core issues that have fueled the addictive process and other dysfunctional behaviors. We are looking forward to a long and successful partnership with P.A.A.R.I.”

Next Chapter is a brand new treatment facility staffed by a team of seasoned professionals. Combining intensive trauma work, family involvement and 12 Step immersion, Next Chapter provides its clients with the most stable foundation on which they can build a new life, full of joy and free from the bondage and suffering of addiction. In addition, Next Chapter offers a host of other treatment services including life skills training, yoga and meditation, nutrition, and exercise and wellness programs.

“Our initiative could not have seen the level of success we have thus far without the dedication of treatment centers like Next Chapter,” Rosenthal said. “We are eager to welcome a new treatment center to our growing list of partners and look forward to a long and successful relationship.”

About Next Chapter:

Owned by Anthony Fasano of the Tennessee Titans, Next Chapter is a men’s addictions and trauma treatment facility with programs designed to transform the lives of individuals and families struggling with addiction. Like so many others, Fasano and his family have been touched by the crippling effects of addiction and have seen that quality treatment can save someone’s life and put them back on a path to success. This inspired him to found Next Chapter with the hope he could provide that same opportunity to others.

Next Chapter’s approach to treating addiction utilizes both traditional and experiential therapies and focuses on helping clients understand and address the underlying issues that have contributed to their addictive and self-destructive behaviors. Each client that comes to Next Chapter will work with highly trained clinicians and explore early childhood issues and traumatic events which have contributed to their addictive process and other dysfunctional behaviors. This process is intended to help clients achieve sobriety and to begin the healing from earlier childhood issues and other traumatic events.

About P.A.A.R.I.:

P.A.A.R.I. was started to support local police departments as they work with opioid addicts. Rather than arrest our way out of the problem of drug addiction, P.A.A.R.I. committed police departments:

• Encourage opioid drug users to seek recovery
• Help distribute life saving opioid blocking drugs to prevent and treat overdoses
• Connect people suffering with opioid addiction with treatment programs and facilities
• Provide resources to other police departments and communities that want to do more to fight the opioid addiction epidemic

P.A.A.R.I. was created by Gloucester Police Chief Leonard Campanello and John Rosenthal to bridge the gap between the police department and persons suffering from the disease of opiate addiction who are seeking recovery. Since its founding, more than 40 police departments in 14 states have joined as partners with the initiative.
