P.A.A.R.I. Congratulates Milton Police on new Overdose Response Team

PAARI is pleased to congratulate Chief John King and Milton Police Department for yesterday’s launch of Milton Cares overdose response team. Milton Police Department joins the movement of nearly 500 law enforcement agencies across the country who recognize that addiction is a disease not a crime that needs treatment, not jail.
PAARI AmeriCorps Recovery Coach, Kurt Gerold, will be a key member of the outreach team, using his lived experience to provide hope and help break down barriers to recovery. We look forward to working with Milton Police Department, and all the project partners, to save lives, reduce stigma, and build bridges to recovery.
The Patriot Ledger covered the event.
