P.A.A.R.I Offers Congratulations to Chief Frederick Ryan Following Retirement Announcement

On behalf of Co-Chairman John Rosenthal and the entire Board of Directors, the Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative offers its sincere congratulations to Chief Frederick Ryan on his retirement from the Arlington, Massachusetts Police Department.
Under his leadership, Arlington was the first police department in the nation to join P.A.A.R.I after Gloucester, and as Chairman of our Police Council, Chief Ryan has been a national leader on law enforcement’s role in combating the opioid crisis and battle to change the shame and stigma of those in its grip who are working to retake their lives.
Chief Ryan has notified the organization that he wishes to remain on the Board upon his retirement, and we greatly appreciate his continued involvement. We will be selecting a new Police Council Chair and will continue to draw on Chief Ryan’s expertise in the months and years ahead.
