Sarah serves as the National Program Director for the Bridge Center at the Public Health Institute, a program that she co-founded alongside emergency department (ED) leaders in 2018 to integrate addiction treatment into hospitals and EDs in response to the rising overdose crisis. She leads the design of programs focused on training and technical assistance for providers to improve equity and harm reduction approaches for people experiencing health challenges related to substance use. Her work has directly informed the implementation and quality improvement of addiction services at over 350 hospitals in 17 states. Sarah is also a Fellow at the Bloomberg American Health Initiative and holds a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Public Health Training Certificate in American Indian health from the Center for Indigenous Studies.
