About:
Nick Mannix is originally from Rochester NY and has a BFA from SUNY Fredonia. He moved to Schenectady in 2011 and was hired by the Schenectady Police Department in 2012. He graduated from the Zone 5 Law Enforcement Training Academy in 2012 and worked as a patrol officer for many years in Schenectady. In 2017 he was promoted to Sergeant and in 2019 became the Neighborhood Engagement and Community Services Sergeant. He is a 12-year veteran of the Schenectady Police Department and is one of the founding members in the Schenectady Cares Program and the Schenectady County Outreach Hub. His training includes the Schenectady Emotionally Disturbed Person Response Team, Instructor Development School, and Peer Support Team among others. He was also honored to receive the Schenectady County Service and Dedication Award. Working in and with the HUB has been an amazing experience and one of the most rewarding jobs in my career.
